The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick,  My Life Goals Journal by Andrea Hayes, and Big Magic by Liz Gilbert!

This week I’ve been fairly productive. I’ve started my daily journaling, about life and my thoughts in general, and as well as that I’ve been making a dent in the Creative Writing dimension too! It has been incredibly long since I’ve last sat down and written a piece of fiction but I composed something the other night that I genuinely felt may have some substance for a full novel. I’ve very rarely felt that way about anything I’ve written and I’m very excited to see how this concept develops for me!

I’ve been listening to Music for Concentration on Spotify when I’ve been reading and writing. I’m the type of person that needs instrumental music in the background if I’m reading because songs with words make me lose my concentration!

A candle I’ve got burning that is for your Heart Chakra! A beautiful green candle with a gorgeous scent! I bought it in Dervish in Cork City for any Corkonians out there who might be interested!

That I can get on top of all of the coursework I have to do at the moment. Drowning slightly with the workload and a full-time job but this blog and my reading and writing is helping to keep me sane!

Big Magic by Liz Gilbert! I bought it on Friday evening and I’m almost finished it! It’s definitely a book I needed to read. It’s letting me understand that it’s ok to write a book that never gets published and makes you world famous… it’s all about the love of the art, the creative process. It’s allowed me to push some of my fears aside and get stuck in! As she says, “Done is better than good!”

To be pampered! A nice spa day wouldn’t go astray!

I need a good night’s rest! I still feel exhausted from last week and am really looking forward to bed tonight.

Very grateful for winning The Valiant Blogger Award this week! I still feel so stunned by the whole thing. You can catch my acceptance post here!

I saw Trainspotting 2 the other evening! I wasn’t a fan of the first one but got tickets for this one because my boyfriend really wanted to see it, and I must admit I really enjoyed this one! The “Choose Life” monologue in this movie was amazing! Very true to today’s society!

I’ve also watched this video by Ellen DeGeneres and just feel like the whole world needs to watch it:

Monthly Goals

Monthly Goals: February

After buying and starting My Life Goals Journal, I thought it might be a nice post to do! So what better time to start than the present! Three monthly goals and a recap at the end of each month!

1. Journaling

The goal is to journal daily using journal prompts! I’m not very sure how this is going to go but I’m willing to give it a try!

2. Creative Writing

I set this blog up with the intention of writing more regularly! The dream is to eventually write a book of my own so I need to get my ass in gear and get moving because Buddha knows I’m not getting any younger! So three times a week I will be setting time aside to write creatively… no matter how crap the results are!

3. Get Outdoors More

I use a bullet journal tracker each month and for the entire month of January I had only ventured out into the great outdoors a total of six times! Six!!! How disgraceful is that!? Now, in my defence, I live in Ireland where there has been hardly any break in the rain and the cold. But, it’s spring now so surely the weather will let up and it’ll be feasible to get outside!

So there we have it! Three Goals that I am hereby accountable for!

Have you set goals for the month ahead?

Drop a comment below and let me know!
